Meet The LSIN Board of Directors

President: Amy Coppa, A Family Tie, Marketing & Senior Transition Specialist

Amy Coppa serves as President of the Loudoun Senior Interest Network where she is dedicated to strengthening connections, creating opportunities, and improving the quality of life for older adults throughout Loudoun County.

With a strong passion for community engagement and senior advocacy, Amy brings people and organizations together to build meaningful partnerships and develop programs that make a tangible difference. She believes that aging should be celebrated and that seniors deserve to feel valued, connected, respected, and actively involved in the communities they call home.

Under Amy’s leadership, LSIN works to connect senior-focused businesses, organizations, professionals, caregivers, and community partners while providing resources, education, networking opportunities, and memorable experiences for older adults and their families.

Amy is particularly passionate about supporting locally owned organizations and community-based, recognizing the personal connection, responsiveness, and commitment to community that they often bring to the people they serve.

Through her leadership with LSIN, Amy continues to champion collaboration over competition and believes that when community organizations work together, everyone benefits—especially the seniors and families at the heart of the Loudoun community.

President-Elect: Andy Riley, Comfort Keepers, Senior Home Care Specialist

Andrew Riley is a leader in senior care and a Senior Home Care Specialist with Comfort Keepers, recognized for his expertise in building trusted relationships with families, healthcare partners, and community organizations. A seasoned marketing leader and professional, he brings strategic insight and a results-driven approach to expanding access to high-quality home care services.

Driven and empathetic, Andrew embodies excellence in all that he does. He joyfully serves others, delivers fully on commitments, and is known for being a steady, calming presence in complex and emotionally charged situations. Energetic and highly professional, he blends compassion with accountability to ensure seniors receive dignified, personalized care while organizations achieve sustainable growth.

Secretary: Suzi Serene, Serene Team Homes, Realtor, Seniors Real Estate Specialist, Senior Transition Specialist

Suzi began her real estate career here in Northern Virginia in 1995. Based in Ashburn, VA, she is licensed in Virginia and West Virginia and has worked with countless buyers and sellers in Loudoun and Fairfax Counties, as well as across the region. Utilizing her network, Suzi can help anyone with their real estate needs from across the county to around the world. No matter where a purchase or sale takes place, count on her for expert advice and referrals to professionals you can trust. Suzi's commitment to her clients accounts for her consistent achievements as one of the top agents in her company and in the region. Word of mouth accounts for the majority of her client business and she welcomes referrals from all over the US. Suzi makes certain she puts her clients' goals at the center of all she does. She's also very easy to find by phone, email and online.

Treasurer: - David Slupe Financial Advisor with Pegasus Financial Group

David brings a dual perspective to Loudoun Senior Interest Network, working at the intersection of financial planning and elder care coordination. As a licensed financial advisor with Pegasus Financial Group, David helps clients build sound financial plans for retirement and long-term care. As a Director at Aging Consultants Group, he extends that expertise into the day-to-day realities of aging — helping families navigate Medicare, long-term care insurance, Medicaid planning, estate documents, and care coordination as needs evolve.

This combination gives David a rare vantage point: he understands both the numbers behind a secure retirement and the practical, often emotional decisions families face as they support aging loved ones. As Treasurer of LSIN, he applies that same rigor and care to supporting the organization's mission of connecting Loudoun County's senior-serving community.

David is based in Ashburn, Virginia, and welcomes the opportunity to work alongside fellow professionals to ensure clients and families have the guidance they need at every stage of the aging journey.

Board Member: Lisa Householder, Care Connect Nova, LLC, Founder/CEO

For more than three decades, Lisa Householder has supported older adults and their families with compassion, reliability, and a personal understanding of the challenges of aging. After coordinating care for her father and aunt, she founded a non-medical home care agency in Central Pennsylvania and later spent 15 years as a Client Care Director in Northern Virginia, building trusted relationships with seniors, families, healthcare professionals, and senior living communities.

In 2022, Lisa founded Care Connect Nova, a Northern Virginia lifestyle support services company offering personalized assistance through companionship, transportation, appointment support, social engagement, errands, organization, safety supervision, and help navigating daily life. Guided by her belief in relationships, continuity, collaboration, and trust, Lisa remains committed to helping older adults stay engaged, supported, and connected while giving families greater peace of mind.

Board Member: Chris Poland, Empower Mobility

Chris Poland has devoted more than 30 years to helping seniors throughout Northern Virginia stay safe, mobile, and independent. From providing mobility equipment and daily living aids to educating families about solutions that improve quality of life, Chris has spent his career focused on one goal: helping people continue doing the things they love.

Today, Chris is the owner of Empower Mobility, where he works closely with older adults, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to identify products and services that support independence and reduce the challenges that often come with aging. He believes mobility is about much more than getting from one place to another. It's about preserving independence, dignity, confidence, and connection to the community.

A longtime advocate for seniors, Chris is serving his second term on the LSIN Board and was also instrumental in establishing Senior Resource Partners (SRP), a network of trusted professionals committed to supporting the aging population throughout Loudoun County and surrounding communities.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors, and attending the occasional Shania Twain concert with his girlfriend, Marti, who usually discovers she had more fun than she expected.

Board Member: Sally Gehl, Caregiver Services and Health , Promotion Coordinator for Loudoun County Area Agency on Aging

With over 20 years of experience, Sally has dedicated her career to supporting older adults and their caregivers, particularly those affected by memory loss.

Prior to her current role, Sally served as the Assistant Manager at the Eastern Loudoun Adult Day Center for 12 years. Her diverse background includes serving as a VICAP Program Assistant, Care Manager, Executive Director for an Assisted Living Facility, and a licensed nursing home administrator after completing an Administrator-in-Training program in a Continuing Care Retirement Community.

Sally’s journey in professional caregiving was shaped by assisting in the care of her grandmother who aged in place with the support of both family and non-family caregivers. This personal connection has fueled her commitment to provide support and improve the quality of life for individuals with memory loss and their families.

Board Member: Katie Verbano, Community Relations Specialist with SenCura Homecare

A proud graduate of Penn State University, where I studied Hospitality and Recreation Marketing Operations. My passion for service, leadership, and community engagement has shaped my career in senior care and homecare.

As a Community Relations Specialist with SenCura Homecare, I focus on building meaningful community partnerships, creating educational and engaging events, and connecting individuals and families with resources that enhance their quality of life. I am passionate about bringing people and organizations together to strengthen support for older adults and their families throughout Loudoun County.

I am honored to serve on the Board of the Loudoun Senior Interest Network (LSIN) and look forward to contributing my experience, energy, and commitment to advancing opportunities, resources, and connections that support healthy and positive aging in our community.

Board Member: Marybeth Forys, Director of Sales and Marketing – Morningside House of Leesburg

Marybeth brings many years of experience in sales and marketing to LSIN.   When her dad passed away, she entered the world of senior care while finding new living arrangements for her mother.  She had to deal with doctors, hospitals, home health care, moving companies, lawyers, and financial advisors.  It was a stressful situation that required multiple moves until her mother was settled.  This first-hand experience with all the facets of senior care enables Marybeth to connect with seniors and their families on a personal level as she helps them navigate one of the most difficult transitions in their lives. She brings knowledge, compassion, and a positive attitude to everyone she works with and feels blessed to have found her calling.  When she is not at Morningside, she can be found spending time and hopefully travelling with her husband, three sons, and her Sheepadoodle.

Board Member: Peter Chung, Client Relations Manager at BrightStar Care of Leesburg

A healthcare professional, veteran, and Master of Public Health with nearly two decades of experience across several areas of healthcare. He began his career serving six years as an Army medic, where he developed the ability to remain calm, focused, and dependable in high stress environments. Following his military service, he continued his work in healthcare through roles in wound care, case management, and community based services, including work with Aetna’s Medicaid program and the INOVA Wound Healing Centers. His experience across both clinical and care coordination roles has given him a broad understanding of the challenges individuals and families face when navigating the healthcare system.

Dedicated to serving the community, Peter takes a person centered approach to care, focusing on helping individuals receive the right support at the right time. Through his work in home care and healthcare services, he has built a strong network of providers and community resources that help connect people to the services they need. He is known for approaching his work with humility and practicality, focusing on solutions that support families and help individuals remain safe, healthy, and independent.

Board Member: Thurza Chapman, Community Relations Director Meadow Glen of Leesburg

Thurza works in senior living, helping families navigate the transition to assisted living and supporting residents as they settle into a new chapter. Her background includes medical staffing, home care, hospice, and assisted living, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the needs of seniors and their families. She enjoys working alongside others who are committed to supporting the elderly population across Loudoun County.

Board Member: Natalie Day Client Relations Manager with BrightStar Care

Natalie has spent the past three years supporting seniors and their families throughout Loudoun County. With a strong commitment to compassionate service, Natalie is dedicated to helping older adults maintain dignity, comfort, and quality of life as they age. A recent MPS in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Natalie is passionate about applying organizational psychology to strengthen caregiver support and enhance the senior care experience.

Outside of work, Natalie loves rock climbing, playing Goat Simulator, and spending time with her amazing grandmother.

Board Member: Tiffany Plante is a Client Relations Executive with Capital Caring Health

Tiffany has a true passion for working with seniors and their families. Her connection to Capital Caring Health is also personal, as they cared for her mother during her hospice journey. That experience gave Tiffany an appreciation for just how valuable hospice can be, not only for the patient, but for the entire family.

Today, she enjoys educating and connecting people with resources that can help them when they need them most. Tiffany is proud to serve on the boards of the Loudoun Senior Interest Network and Senior Resource Partners and loves being part of a community of professionals who share the same passion for helping seniors and their families.
