What Seniors Think About Aging

A 2015 survey of over 1,600 adults 60 and over sheds some light on how older adults and community members address aging issues. The survey results, published here, on the National Council on Aging's website, include insights on what matters most to seniors, top concerns, and comparisons to the surveys from previous years. Here is a sneak peak at some of the results:

  • The top concern for older adults was maintaining their physical health
  • 75% intend to stay in their current home for the rest of their lives
  • 42% of older adults say they are very prepared to age
  • 47% of older adults think their community is doing enough to prepare for an aging population
